Interesting Study from 2017, though I think the corridor has enough stops already, if they can keep the same running time,  I would not care if they added another stop.    It does indeed demonstrate again that Amtrak needs to periodically review it's station locations on it's corridor routes instead of maintaininig the status quo of 40-50 years ago.

Makes sense.  Amtrak really needs to look at reducing dwell times for its halts in route. In Germany, it is typically 2 minutes, except at a few major cities, and because most routes are electrified, acceleration is much quicker.
