#20 arrived ATL 8:16 late arrived WAS 7:59 Late, NYP 7:13 late. Consider that very good since weather was terrible on the whole route. Especially Birmingham -  Charlotte

Phoebe Vet
Which train was it, 19 or 20, and was anyone hurt?

#20 was already 2:27 late at Meridian, and was 8:08 late at Tuscaloosa; he was 0:01 late at Slidell, and kept falling down from there to Anniston.

#19 was 0:10 late out of Tuscaloosa, and was 4:32 late at Meridian.

It looks as though it was #20.

I bet that made his butt reach out and grab a handful of seat.  Which train was it, 19 or 20, and was anyone hurt?

Now Amtrak is not showing an estimated arrival time at Atlanta probably because the crew will outlaw somewhere east of Anniston and a relief crew (probably NS) will have to be called.

With my wife and one of my granddaughters, I just rode the Crescent from Charlotte to DC & back last week.

It was early arriving both ways.

The Carolinian is also available.

Phoebe:  This is your chance to ride the Crescent route in the daytime. 7:00+ late. You could ride it all the way from Greenville to Wash and back in one day.  Tempting isn't it?

At least the Lynchburg train can take all the passengers north of Lynchburg. Will increase  LYH train ridership.

They had some pretty big storms down there, including a tornado or two.  There may be some trees down.

Sat Crescents delayed?
Posted by blue streak 1 on Saturday, April 24, 2010 6:20 PM

Got an e mail and following up found northbound Crescent #20 delayed somewhere between Meridian and Tuscaloosa, Al. At present showing 5:41 late at TCL. Southbound #19 does not show arriving Meridian but left Tuscaloosa just a little late. May be NS (SOU, AGS) line blocked and maybe there will be a bus bridge?

Anyone with more information?

This almost certainly due to major storms crossing Mississippi and suspect with storms heading toward ATL there will be more delays northbound. Stay tuned however I always shut down whwen the lightning gets too close.
