Joint Ownership of Private Varnish
Posted by Limitedclear on Sunday, May 20, 2007 12:40 PM

So who on the forums thinks that a partial ownership in a PV car or two is a good idea? Who would participate given their existing financial condition? (please no, "If I won the lottery" responses).

Opportunities range from one company currently offereing a product similar to a timeshare to actually forming your own group to go buy and rehab cars. Also, see the companion thread entitled "Private Varnish".

I think joint ownership is a very good way to go , especially if you have the people with the combined talents to do the work . The biggest problem with private cars is the expense of contracting out the work , unless you have an unlimited budget (ie your filthy rich) the repair and refubishing work will kill you !!

Timeshare ownership of Private Varnish on a signficant scale appears to be available now or soon. Take a look at www.trainshares.com. I understand that they have a lot of background and are regsitering with the State of Florida, the toughest regulation State.

I think it's a facinating idea, but would have to have a better understanding of the economics before I could even begin to pitch it to the spouse...Black Eye [B)]
