Anyone know or want to take a guess why Amtrak has not returned the Sightseer Lounge car to the Texas Eagle?

Guess!  They don't have enough operatable equipment to do it.

Never too old to have a happy childhood!

Guess!  They don't have enough operatable equipment to do it.

On the status they gave 2-3 weeks ago WisDOT complained about equipment issues with Amtrak.   They put on order a while ago 3 Siemens cab cars and 7 new Venture Cars apart from the Midwest Compact Siemens Car order that is being delivered now.   Also they had to do a revised EIS for project changes I think.   They listed both as needing to be fixed by September for startup this fall of the second Twin cities train.    If not then startup will not happen until next year.

Also, applied for a grant to study Milwaukee to Green Bay rail service more via Fox River Valley (Fond Du Lac & Oshkosh).   Both they and Amtrak are surprised with ridership on the subsidized busses including the one that departs Green Bay at 5 in the morning (they thought the bus would travel mostly empty......but it's fairly full right now).
