2. Was only one set saved? Is aniother available wsaiting reatoration?
3. Any other original UK Pullman's saved? Southampton Belle cars?

I was at the Barrow Hill roundhouse a few years ago and the Brighton Belle was there in the early stages of restoration. I've restored cars before but not a train but I see that the process is similar except everything is a lot heavier. Also the Tornado, Bittern and Mallard were there as well as some others.

Interesting,but this should be in the Steam And Preservation forum, which deals with restoration.

It's as easy as posting on this Forum. Just pick the right Forum before you post. And start a new topict.
But I'm not so picky. For me, it's OK here, because right now it should be possible to arrange to ride it. And not restricted by any means to just tourist-trauin and museum tracks!

The other approach is just to post the topic again, in the 'correct' forum, and let nature take its course.
The restored Belle equipment, for the most part, do not operate in museum or heritage service, but in high-class tourist and dinner-train service. There is a fine line between the categories
