Nice aerial view of the now Milwaukee Intermodal Terminal underconstruction in 1965 foreground, with a picture of the old station in the background. Note that is the 6th street viaduct that still bisects the station today. Look closely and you can see the U shaped canetary supports for the former North Shore Line that used the viaduct, it's station was the first parking lot on your right as you proceed North on the viaduct. Notice that a lot of the area has been cleared of buildings including the former North Shore terminal in preparation for the freeway being built. Hence all the open area. Looks like they started to dismantle part of the 6th street viaduct as well. It is still there today though.

Street level view of the station from behind. Note that is either a Chicago to Milwaukee Train lined up to depart or recently arrived commutter train from Watertown, WI and suburbs west (Cannonball). That navy blue office tower in the background is the Marine Bank building. Known among the business community for it's excellent restaurant or cafe at the top called "The Top of the Marine"

According to the website these links will only remain for 30 days and will then be removed. I didn't want to pay for a photo bucket account and have no idea how to otherwise load these photos.
IMGUR is free and works well. Easy peasy to use. Dave Klepper and myself use it.
