I hope this comes to pass. When I sailed on the ore boats (1967) I was impressed by Duluth. It had dozens of art deco buildings and store fronts as well as the most beautiful women I'd ever seen. Doubtless this was due to the strong local economy during the war and the large percentage of Scandanavian blondes residing there.
I'd love to return to Duluth, this time by train, and enjoy again the natural beauty of that part of the world. This proposed train just might stimulate new growth in the tourist business there and have the same happy effect on that corner of Minnesota that the Downeaster has on Maine.
