Amtrak still cannot get to MIA . TriRail is starting to operate tomorrow ( Sat ). They are not charging fares thru Monday. However Sun Rail at Orlando is still not up and seems to not really care because they do not operate on weekends. Sort of kills Amtrak silver service and AutoTrain. Link to TriRail .

So much for the State of Florida supporting the rail facilities THEY OWN!

There may be a problem with Sun Rail's bascule bridge over the StJohns river north of Sanford. This poster's observations of its operation always seemed iffy. That bridge was closed for several weeks before Sun Rail started operation for upgrades(?) but still seems iffy. A flyover of the river has been posponed due to expense.
Anyone in the area know what is holding up SunRail ?
