ALL:

Trainorders.com indicates that both 7 and 8 are at Rugby, ND. Did the BNSF have a derailment and will both trains be turned?

The wind at Rugby is reported as 25 gusting past 30.  Perhaps drifting is becoming a problem in the cuts?  I'm just guessing.

According to this Minot newspaper, the train is stuck in a snow drift:

The Amtrak status map is showing a 'service disruption'.  Both 7 and 8 are on the Devils Lake sub which is single track with only a few CTC sidings.

Hope there is enough fuel to keep the HEP running until it is able to move again.

News story with photo here:

No.8 has managed to make some progress eastward. Can't tell if No.7 has stayed put or backtracked slightly east as well. Both were facing off on either side of Rugby first thing this morning.

4 BNSF locos could not free train.  Took 30+ BNSF employees to dig out.  Passengers had heat whole time.  Train now 21+ hours late.
