The final EIS is out with comments due by early December.  4 separate bores all plate "H".

It looks like they have covered a lot of issues. Big bucks. I hope it can get funded along with the Gateway Project but the NIMBY's have yet to weigh in. Will the Red States say why should we pay for the Blue states trains? Stay tuned.

A lot of those red states receive more money than they pay in to the federal government.

I hate to ask this ... but what makes you think these two things are connected?  Smile  As my wife says, "what's yours is mine, and what's mine is mine."

A bit like the old distinction between a 'freedom fighter' and a 'terrorist' - where you stand is largely determined by where you sit.

Schlimm, why did you bring up the terrorist vs. freedom-fighter matter?  I have to strongly disagree with you.

A Freedom Fighter, and this includes the Muslims fighting for Algerian Independence against the French, does not target women and Children, or ingeneral people in entertainment, religgious, and sports environments..

And don't bring up the Jerusalem Hotel David, as Arab correspondants often do with me.  The facts are 1.  The irgun Zvai leumi gave a 15 minute warning to evacuate, and 2.  It was the British Military Hq.  Because the commander said "I don't take orders from Jews." indeed more civilians (the hotel staff) were injured or killed than military personal.

Can we please not drag non-relavant matters that are contorversial into railwa-rrelated threads?  Thank you.

Schlimm didn't bring it up - RME did.

Nimbys are already complaining.  Never mind that the tunnel will allow for MARC to stop where it is needed.
