MOLINE, Illinois - Passenger rail is on track to return to the Quad Cities by early 2018.

Check out the video on Moline Illinois planned passenger station. 

The architect's drawing is interesting. The train drawn as arriving at the station looks like a Budd RDC car.

Also, is that a scheduled Amtrak long distance train coming through Moline, or is it being detoured?

Looks more like a SEPTA Silverliner of some sort to me

It is a General Electric/Avco Silverliner IV, from SEPTA as noted.

That must be just for a photo.  They are not going to s tring catenary, at least for some time yet!

Or will these be de-motored trail cars with a diesel push-pull?

The Rock Island Rockets were far more appealing to the eye.
