However, that does not mean that workers cannot organize a union or belong to a union. At my former employer - I am retired - the mine workers as well as some of the power plant operators and line persons were members of the union.</p> <p>The employees of Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, Greyhound, etc., as examples, also belong to unions. Having said that, Texas workers tend to shun union organizing attempts. </p>
