I believe this was the 3:30 Departure from Chicago Union Station on Thursday that struck the Pedestrian.    When I looked on the Amtrak Train locator Train 337 was just ahead of my train 339 around 5:40 p.m.     My train departed for Milwaukee at 5:08 p.m. and was an hour late getting into Milwaukee as we kept hitting yellow or red CTC lights until Roundout.     Most of the Milwaukee Line Metra trains were delayed because of this.

The Regular Passengers on train 339 didn't really care that much about the delay they were either drinking booze they brought with them from off the train or playing Amtrak Aisle mini-golf while the train was moving.    Apparently they even had a nickname for the regular Amtrak Conductor and called him "mumbles".    Interesting social group there.     I didn't ask how he got the nick name.   Anyways the evening departures out of Chicago are usually very full and sometimes standing room only.     The 11:00 a.m. into Chicago from Milwaukee that I road was pretty empty though.

Put Darwin for clickage and reduce the deceased to a pronoun. She was a human being.

Thanks.  She was a human.  We do not know any additional details, as none have been published.  Apparently for some people, it is easier to ignore the tragedy by dehumanizing her with the ignorant term "Darwin" than to face reality.
