Amtrak in Fostoria, OH today (6/8/2016)
Posted by RRCharlie on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 9:01 AM

Was watching a web cam for Fostoria, OH this morning and saw Amtrak 29, the Westbound Capitol Limited on CSX tracks stopped just East of the NS tracks. After crews changed, the train pulled West and stopped again as Amtrak 49, the Lake Shore Limited was coupled behind. Last car on the train was an Amtrak inspection car with the Theater Window. It looked like a Viewliner that had been converted. Any one know the origins of this car?

1004 American View: converted from prototype sleeper 2301 in 2014. This was a prototype for the original 1988 cars and was in service until 2002.

What was the NS problem that caused the reroutes?

Never too old to have a happy childhood!
