The trains are modifed Valero sets. Note smaller front window to avoid the tunnel hypnosis problem.

The Siemens trains are proven in service. With the mention of Italy in connection with the trains, I was for just a moment concerned that the trains were made by Ansaldo/Breda, with a long penchant for producing trains that don't run properly in revenue service.

greatly ticked off the French (which I now believe own 100% of Eurostar) that they picked German Equipment. The older TGV based equipment was getting long in the tooth but when I was commuting between London and Paris almost weekly there was just no other way to go.

Pininfarina designs whole bodies for various Ferrari models, not just interiors.  As info FCA has spun Ferrari off as a standalone company with an IPO that was floated this week.

Ferrari may now be a standalone company but Fiat and the Ferrari family still have a controlling interest.  Only 10% of the company's stock was offered in the IPO.

Aren't these to be used for new Eurostar services to Germany?  If so, might make the choice of Siemans more (nationalistically) logical.
