Can anyone inform me what trucks are attached to Amtrak's Baggage Cars Road Number range 1000-approx 1400 Phase III paint scheme. Thanx...
Is this the type of car of which you seek? http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=2998629

So do you mean something like this? http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=329916
Other descriptors would help such as if the car is corrugated or not, stainless steel or carbon steel construction, etc.
Seems to me she's asking about trucks, and the answer to that is likely to be fairly consistent across a wide range of Heritage bags. Mr. Carleton probably knows the specifics in detail.
I'd think most of them would be 41-NDO outside-swing-hanger trucks, not so much for ride quality as relative ease of maintenance with all the 'wearing parts' outside for access. But I suspect Ms. Peterson has a specific reason for asking the question.
Good Afternoon D.Carleton & Wizlish,
Thank You both your contributions to my inquiry; D. Carleton-your last link shows a very close replica of the car I'm looking for; Whizlish your suggestion of 41-NDO outside-swing-hanger to be spot-on in that I can obtain one(1) thru a Web Site on the Net. Once again, Thank You for your assistance. Pamela...
You are welcome. For the record, the trucks in the picture are of the inside swing hanger variety. This is an outside swing hanger truck: http://www.ozarkmountainrailcar.com/detail.asp?id=1059&n=CANCAR-Outside-Swing-Hanger-Truck
