I've traveled in all types of rooms and prefer Viewliners owing to the higher ceilings which render them less claustrophobic in both the small and larger rooms. And, the stairs are a hassle in Superliners. The wheel-chair accessible bedroom in the Viewliner is incredibly better because it has wider beds, a full-length sofa so I didn't have to sit in my wife's wheelchair so she could keep her foot on the little opposite seat as in the Superliner, much more natural light from more windows including one that looks out across the side aisle, and a large bathroom (we didn't use the shower but the space and separate room were wonderful compared to the Superliner).
Yes, room H in a Viewliner is much better, in my opinion, than room H in a Superliner. Four years ago, as we were leaving Portland for Chicago, we found that room H was available, and we exchanged an upstairs bedroom for it. After we boarded, my wife realized that, even though it was on the lower level, it was not as good as the bedroom, so we moved back, even though she had some difficulty in climbing the stairs.
The next year, she was not able stand by herself, much less walk, and we had to use H on all the trains we rode. We had both been sleeping in the lower berth in the bedrooms, and I had to, of, course, sleep in the upper berth--which has little headroom. I did not mind the uppers in the Pullman cars, or in a Viewliner, but I have no plans to ever sleep in an upper again.
