AMTRAK'S first attempt to build a completely ADA compliant station platform walkway at Hope has been found to not meet specifications there by delaying start of Hope Texas Eagle service.

http://www.hopestar.com/topstories/x642576954/Amtrak-glitch-derails-finish
Hopefully they will repair the mismanaged project in Hope, and the citizens who hope to ride the Eagle will hopefully find it on time, which has not been the case for the past several weeks. Having zipped through Hope on several occasions on the Eagle, I am always hopeful that the train will be on-time into Little Rock.

Based on the article, I am full of hope that the authorities in Hope, with the help of UP and Amtrak, will be able to resolve the platform separation issue. I would be even more hopeful if the UP was solely in charge of the project in Hope.
