Does anyone know where I might find some promotional codes, or discounts, for travel on the Grand Canyon Railway?
Try AAA, they offer some package deals.

I typed "Grand Canyon Railway Discounts" into Google and came up with several leads, although I don't have time to chase them up. One site that appears to be offering discounts is located in Scottsdale. I don't know whether they are legit.
Type "Grand Canyon Railway Discounts or Promotions in your search engine and see what you can turn up. In addition to AAA, which is a good suggestion, try any other organization that you might belong to, such as AARP, military retiree organization, etc. They may have some discounts.
Another tactic is to determine where you want to stay in Williams. Then, see if the hotel has any deals for the railway. The budget hotels won't have them, but up-market hotels frequently have arrangements with outfits like the Grand Canyon Railway for their guests.
I rode the Grand Canyon Railway in the late 80s or early 90s. The train was pulled by steam at the time. It is worth the money. It is a pleasant ride and an easy way to get to the canyon.
As I have done with practically every tourist train that I have taken, not to mention Amtrak, I go during the shoulder seasons or the off season. Usually I have been able to save a bundle by doing so. Accordingly, if your schedule permits, see if you can book the train in late September or October. You might get a better deal at that time of the year than trying to make the trip at the top of the summer vacation season.
