His plan is for the Chinese to fund a high speed rail to downtown Chicago to compete with the CTA line nobody rides.  Fare estimated to be $20.00 for high speed.  CTA cost is $2.00.  By the time the thing is up to top speed it will need to start braking for the airport if it even gets that high.

Sounds like a Daley kind of plan.  I liked riding the CTA from O'Hare into town.  It was quick and seemed like we went through some low number frog crossovers at about 45MPH.  That was years ago.

If nobody rides the CTA between O'Hare and downtown why will they ride a Chinese High Speed train??
