In 1950, the following trains provided through service between Boston and Montréal:

B&M/CP: Alouette (day) and Red Wing (overnight)

B&M/CV/CN: Ambassador (day) and New Englander (overnight)

Look for old Official Guides and timetables for the B&M,CV, CP, and MC.  See swap meets, train shows, classifides in Trains or through NRHS and R&LHS chapters, even local hobby shops.  There are some great books, too, in your library.

RIDEWITHMEHENRY is the name for our almost monthly day of riding trains and transit in either the NYCity or Philadelphia areas including all commuter lines, Amtrak, subways, light rail and trolleys, bus and ferries when warranted. No fees, just let us know you want to join the ride and pay your fares. Ask to be on our email list or find us on FB as RIDEWITHMEHENRY (all caps) to get descriptions of each outing.

These names were in use by 1930, but in 1916 the B&M did not name its trains even though it offered the through service. From the Guides that I have, I would say that these were the only names given the Boston-Montréal trains.

After the B&M dropped through service between the two cities (by 1962), there has been no through service.
