Passenger Cars
Posted by vintageracer on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 11:17 PM

I work at a oil refinery in Wilmington, Ca. My trainwatching is usually container freight going in and out of the harbor. However is just saw what looked like new or rebuilt passenger cars being pulled by a BNSF engine. One of them was named RATON PASS. I was too startled to get the names of the other cars. There were no passengers. Does anyone have an idea what was going on?

What are those cars used for? They were a refreshing change to see on the same track that is primarily container traffic.
