Oceanside Ca. Passenger Trains

Recently I was in the Oceanside Ca area.There is a continuous parade of pasengere trains.Coaster,11 each way;Amtrak,11 each way;Sprintrer,17 each way;Metro Link,approximately 10  each way.Total 98 per week day.Can any city other than big metro areas top this.Dutchie,

Think about Metra in Chicago; it has more than 10 lines (it varies depending on how you count them).  Out of curiosity, I counted the trains on one route (Metra North) and it comes out at 70 weekday trains on that one route alone.

Trenton NJ would also have a pretty good train count between Amtrak, NJ Transit and SEPTA.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

I can remember 1966 when I was in the Navy and all that ran on the surf line was the San Deigans 3 times a day. The freights ran only at night. What a contrast. If you wanted to watch trains back then you went to San Berdoo.
