I find the seperate fourms for general discussion, transit, steam, passenger etc. annoying and have reached the point that I skip some of them on a regular basis.
Another thread mentioned merging the trains.com forum in, too.
Am I the only one who feels this way, and how many would like to see them merged back together again?
I'm sort of in the middle. It seems kind of convenient when I'm looking for one thing. But I wouldn't give up the forum if it changed.
Yeah, I thought the same thing as well.
The one disadvantage of one forum pool is that if there are a lot of topics, even an active discussion can get pushed off the front page. The answer to that is to browse further back.
The big, big disadvantage of the current system is that everything is broken up, and you have to browse multiple front pages to get to all the topics of interest. Yup, I'm am with you on reconsolidating the forums.
If GM "killed the electric car", what am I doing standing next to an EV-1, a half a block from the WSOR tracks?
Not only should the current forums not be merged back together, it is time for somebody who has control over the forums to sort out old posts into the new forum topic categories so they can be discovered again.
