Loop at N end at Swannie River cafe...Cleveland RTA tore up there Shaker Loop about 7 years ago

That is the operating car roster.  Although they may have sold the PCCs and I did not learn of that fact.

There would be problems with operating regular PCCs. even with pantograph, on the existing system because of the lack of loops at both ends.  The Buffalo LRVs are double-ended from what I remember.

The photo may have been from one test operation at the time the PCCS were bought and the etension contemplated.  This woiuld have around 15 years ago or more.

They have more than one,  Purchased at a time when there was a movemen to have a long extension, possibly to the Falls, but the plan was not implemened.

PCC came from Cleveland RTA Shaker Rapid....Was to be used on Tonwanada line which is former Erie Niagara branch now a bike trail as of last year. They inherited about 10 of these that sat in the NFTA barn for years..after that who knows.

All in all a cool picture. For all the tests lived in Buffalo never knew they had s pcc car. Pretty awesome.

Except for the pantograph, the car looks like it's way overdue for a major overhaul.
