i've been on two monorails so far. The ones at Disney World don't have a lot of snow and ice to contend with. The one in Wuppertal, Germany has it's rail covered by a shed type arrangement all along the line. Aren't most monorails in hot weather places?

A question, what is done about snow and ice on mag-lev lines?

How do monorails and people movers deal with excessive snow and ice?
