Now I don't know if this means manned towers, but according to my latest action-packed edition of "Railpace" the LIRR still has manual block control on it's east end, out Montauk way.

They are, and identified by their telegraph codes:

Westhampton  WH

Hampton Bays  ND, to become an automatic interlocking

Southhampton  SN, to become an automatic interlocking

Bridgehampton  BH

Amagansett  AG

Montauk  MY (Yard Limit, westbound only.)

The block limits not due to be automated are slated to be eliminated.

Hope this answers the question.

Hi, Does anyone know if the LIRR still has some manned towers? If they do, can anyone give a list of them? Thank you for any information anyone can give me.
