If you click on the link below, you will hear the story which is reported by WCBS-880 Meteorologist and my friend, Todd Glickman.  Unfortunately, the embedded story did not transfer to the email.

Most of you know that one of the terminals is Second Avenue, but it operates along 6th Avenue in Manhattan.

The historic train will take riders along the Second Avenue line between Lower Manhattan and Queens Plaza every Sunday until the week before Christmas — all for the price of a standard MetroCard swipe.

“This is amazing — history in motion,” one commuter told WCBS 880’s Todd Glickman.

The eight-car train ran on the lettered lines from the 1930s to the 1970s.

For those looking to take a ride, here’s the complete schedule, as provided by the MTA:

Leaving 2nd Ave.
10:01 a.m.
11:31 a.m.
1:01 p.m.
2:30 p.m.
4:01 p.m.

Leaving Queens Plaza
10:44 a.m.
12:14 p.m.
1:43 p.m.
3:14 p.m.
4:44 p.m.

The train is lovingly restored by volunteers, and can be viewed all year-round at the New York Transit Museum in Brooklyn.

Commuters can also take a ride on several vintage buses.  Check the MTA website.
