Interesting question. I strongly suspect the reasons for not doing this were carefully considered in the River Line planning, though; that looks like an expensive two blocks' worth of improvement, and significant added risk of accident or inconvenience to road traffic, for ... saving two blocks of walking for clients who ride mass transit to get to court.
It might be a different thing if all that were 'involved' were running a DMU a bit further on existing infrastructure, and letting 'em off interurban-style in the weeds.
The US Courthouse is right next door to the station and a Ghost Signal still shines at night to the right even though there is like 4 feet of brush on the tracks. Last custumer was the Trentonian Newspaper.( Yes I worked there then)
