MBTA did not learn the "Sandy" lessons,

Due to the present Boston nor'easter a river near a Green line tunnel is flooding.  To keep the Green line tunnel from floding and flooding Kenmore station MBTA is building a temporary tunnel dam to prevent flooding?  Understand it flooded ~20 years ago.  Why in the world has not a permanent flood door been built there?  A temp dam will probably leak and always a slight possibility that it would break.

Of course.  "Bad stuff" always happens to other people.  "It can't POSSIBLY happen here!"

A more profound statement could not be made.  NJ Transit sure did not believe storm was coming.  NY MTA although evacuated  they did not plan before "Sandy" to prevent flooding.  Look at what happened to the new South Ferry station. 

Flood control seems to always be an after thought.  Look at what happened in Spain last month.

Plus this is not the first time the Green Line tunnel flooded at this location.

 What happens to this tunnel if there is a flash flood instead of a slow rising flood?
