I'm guessing not every ticket gets lifted! The track appears to be dual gauge. Meter and 5'3"?

Remember a story, not long ago, about patrons in Chicago aghast at an open vestibule door on a commuter train?

And they wonder why every time there's a train wreck over there there's usually 250,000 dead.

I could just see OSHA people getting the "vapors" watching this video.

Was it Malaysia where they hang concrete giant bowling balls from overpasses to discourage roof riders on their trains? Seems like a humane, safety-first approach to a trespassing problem. Especially after the first few trains!

Track gauges would be the same as India, both meter and 5'3".  Indian Railways has been working a long-term project to convert the meter-gauge trackage to 5'3".

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

My experience with a Bangla Desh restaurant in New York (4th Avenue between 11th and 12th Streets) was that Bangla Desh people are some of the finest and kindest anywhere, with a very tolerant form of Islam that speaks goodwill to all people.  They had a very tough time separating from Pakistan.   Thus, my heart really goes out to people having to commute under such conditions.

I've seen cinderblocks hung from overhead bridges on the NEC in North Philadelphia on Amtrak where there is a lack of roof riders, probably because of the catenary, lol
