Mn Twin Cities planning needs more maps
Posted by Boyd on Thursday, August 22, 2013 1:25 AM

Whenever I can I read articles about plans for more light rail lines in and around the Twin Cities metropolitan area in Minnesota. No matter if it is an online or print article it is often missing a map. If it has a map it is not detailed. I'd like to see details. The southwest line planned to Eden Prarie is proposed to use parts of an existing freight line but talks with that freight line seem not to be moving foreward well. I live in the east metro so I don't know all of those names of area roads or even all of the freight lines. I have found "one" video on youtube posted by the Metropolitan Councel but thats it.

I found these links worth checking out, featuring several maps with the preferred alignment:

edenprairie.org

metrocouncil.org

southwesttransitway.org

The above link has the route overlaid on Google maps.
