And your point? Since Philadelphia got 1.4" snow, why would they shut down? Big difference compared to New England, where many places got 30-36". Even northern NJ got about 12".

NJT folded their tent at 8PM Friday night when there wasn't enough snow to make a difference in operations. At 8PM there wasn't 5 inches on the Hoboken Division lines, but the were shut down. I just found that despite the cold weather and snow in the region the reason for not running service was a parade instead of snow. But see my rants elsewhere about NJT and its management.
