Interesting article.  Can download whole KPMG slide show at MARTA web site.

Lots of low hanging fruit to be plucked.  Report does not include any revenue gain from doing zoned fares as that's part of another study already underway.

What I found most humorous was the money could be saved on station cleaning.  MARTA has some of the filthiest transit stations outside of NYC.  The trash gets picked up, but that's it.  They are dirty.  Might be a good idea if MARTA can find some sponsors to handle periodic station pressure washing.  There are business districts in the city that already pay for civic  "extras" like this.
