NYC $10 Billion bus station
Posted by York1 on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 9:14 AM

It's obvious some people think NYC has plenty of money while the city administrators say otherwise.  Maybe the trains should get in on some this cash.

That title isn't a typo.  It's $10 Billion to redo the station.

I can't wait to see it when it's finished.

I got the impression that the Port Authority Bus Terminal will be replaced rather than renovated, which may help explain the price tag.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

New York City doesn't own the Port Authority bus terminal.  The monies are coming from the Port of New York & New Jersey Authority which has access to the funds for this kind of project.  They are also in the midst of upgrading the three airports that serve the metro area while refurbishing the PATH rail lines serving New York City and nearby suburban New Jersey.

That makes more sense!  Thanks!
