The Sound Transit’s T-Line 2.4-mile Hilltop Tacoma Link Extension will start passengers operation Sept. 16, doubling theline’s length and adding seven new stations:

 

1.     St. Joseph (M.L.K. Jr. Way south of South 17th St.)

 

2.    Hilltop District (South 11th and M.L.K. Way)

 

3.    6th Avenue (at M.L.K. Way)

 

4.   Tacoma General (M.L.K Way at MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital)

 

5.    Stadium District (North 1st St. at North G St.)

 

6.   South 4th (at South Stadium Way)

 

7.    Old City Hall Station (Commerce St. north of South 7th St.)

I rode the present line back in 2011 during the NRHS Tacoma Convention.  It was free back then.  It went from the Freighthouse Square Sounder station (which Amtrak now also uses) to downtown.
