Time to pass the buck to American taxpayers to fix this 'issue' with more Amtrak capacity ... perhaps even with Gateway!

Heaven forbid New York State and New Jersey actually allocate the capital to fix or even address this meaningfully.  Even on a weighted pro rata basis for the congestion the commuter and pure regional services cause.
