Caltrain personel getting worried that since contractors are same for signals as Denver that it could be in same trouble as Denver RTD.

Hopefully, the contractor will choose a different equipment supplier.  Also, the specifications may required equipment with some history of success.

There's this little thing called infrared...take a page out of model railroading, or the same system they use to determine red light runners...a simple infrared detector,but no, we have to make it as complicated as a nuclear air craft carrier.

Is the problem with the audiotone overlay systems harmonics from the 60 cycle propulsion system? Can they mot be filtered to a level that the signal system can coexist with?
