Wonder if Amtrak and CT could not agree on who pays for the additional CAT ?  It would appear that most additional CAT would benefit only Shore line east trains but a detailed analysis of how Amtrak trains would pass SLE trains is for some poster more in the  know.   

Next is the rolling stock issue.  MNRR claims all their M-8s are needed west of New haven but have to wonder.  Any one remember the scheduled delivery dates of the additional cars ?

Refurbishing MBTA equipment seems now to be a folly.  Further MBTA gets a free ride on operational needed at end of lease period.  Follow the money on this contract ?  

Until ridership proves substantial to justify electrification that cross will not be borne for several years.  haope Amtrak made provisions or even placed markers for support poles for the CAT.
