Thats good that they put some thought into their mass transit line before they built it.   Some cities haven't.    Now I just wish they would put the same thought and planning into the proposed HSR line and decide where the future HSR terminal in the Twin Cities is going to be and start planning for that.

Really hate those places that just threw down their light rail lines, no OD studies etc.

Don't hate.  But they do give rail transit a bad rep.  I think they are a minority.  Feel sorry for them.

Very well written article. My wife and I just rode both the green line and the blue line last weekend. First we went from Target Field to St. Paul to see the restored Amtrak station in St. Paul (beautiful), then we came back to Target Field and took the line to Mall of America. At Target Field the light rail connects to the Northstar trains to Big Lake, about 40 miles NW of Minneapolis. It is a beautiful system and is obviously well-planned and well used.
