Short system and not much has been discussed about this. Seems to remind me of the SKYBUS concept that Pittsburgh almost built.
Have not been through ORD lately but this sounds like the "trains" at several other airports like Denver, Houston, Heathrow, Atlanta etc.

As the article notes it's been there and operational for over 20 years, not given a thought by most people as its part of the landscape. As noted the current fleet of 15 VAL cars are soon to be retired. The fleet is somewhat unique in that 2 of the 15 are second hand, from Jacksonville. Easily spotted by their darker tinted windows. A new fleet is being purchased to support an extension to a new consolidated rental car center being built it the old lot F. Hopefully there will be a convenient connection to METRA's North Central Service station.
Seems the only use for people movers is in Airports. Every attempt to use them in a Urban Transit Enviroment has been a flop. See Detroit,Miami and Jax Fl and oh yeah Indy IN.
