Posted by rambo1 on Saturday, January 9, 2016 3:24 PM

I watched a go transit pass and on the end was a new cab car  for metrolink or go in the lighter green i think built by seiman. Anyone know about this? rambo1...

The cab cars up in Canada that you saw … Were they in fact like these from Metrolink of Southern California?

If so, that would be a significant development.

They are similar but different.  Metrolink's cab cars were built by Hyundai-Rotem, while GO's are made by Bombardier (an variant of their iconic bi-level commuter coach) and have one large window instead of 3 smaller ones.  Since I don't know how to paste images into a post yet, here are links to a couple GO photos to compare with those K.P. posted.

In transit from Bombardier's Thunder Bay, ON factory:

rambo1 (1-9):

I’m glad your mystery is solved.

It was kind of farfetched that the new Metrolink cab cars were being transferred to up you way, especially since the NTSB hasn’t come out with their findings yet on the February 2015 incident near Oxnard, CA.  But, it is always good to search for truth, and that is what you did …and found the real truth.

Best,

K.P.

SD70M-2Dude (1-9):

Posting photos is easy.  Just get a free photobuck.com account, upload a photo, get its resulting direct link, and paste it into your post composition.

If you are going to link a lot of photos, start right away with folders within your account.

Take care,

K.P.
