Proposed rail link to Laguardia Airport
Posted by narig01 on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 11:08 AM

New York's Gov Cuomo is proposing a rail link to Laguardia airport in New York City. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/01/21/nyregion/cuomo-proposes-train-link-to-la-guardia-airport.html The proposed link would go down the Grand Central Parkway and connect to the subway at the Willets Pt / Citi Field station. A thought it would take a little more effort to also have part of the line continue down the Grand Central to the Van Wyck thence to connect with the Airlink to JFK airport. Thx IGN

Activated.

Yes, the N would require more money and temporary disruption, but wouldn't a one-seat ride be worth it?

Extending the N would cause no more disruption and be far more sensible.  I hope common sense prevails.

It would be no problem at all to run a modified N direct to the Howard Beach JFK station if the reverse-Chryties connection were built between the BMT Broadway and F and M lines at Broadway-Delancey-Lafayette
