Seattle's Link Light Rail Yard

The first line is not supposed to be operational unti late 2009, but the Yard looks to be pretty much complete.  It's a pretty cool looking place and I've had ideas on how to get a photo of it.  I was able to get one a couple of days ago, feature the lime green striped cantenary poles and Japanese cars.

 Take a look

Thanks!

The cars are a product of a colaboration between Kinkisharyo and Mitsui of Osaka, Japan.  They have been assembled somewhere in Everett WA.

Here's a link to a SoundTransit web page about the equipment:

Nice transit website with lots of pages and links but many of them apppear to be outdated.  Especially with the macro issues of funding and building, they frequently refer to 2007 as though it were in the near future.

But I really mean to compliment you on your photo.  WOW!

I wonder if there's any way for a talented amateur to offer that to one of the principal Japanese companies involved in the making -- for their PR, annual report, etc??

Way to go!
