Ed, photo evidence would suggest that. This was an aspect of Railcar Painting and lettering that should probably should have drawn my interest, but did not.
Dave:
I have noticed that some of your trolley photos numbers in the same font as the PRR diesels. Was that front popular in Pennsylvania?

Thanks. That is the information I needed.
PRR 9082 class FS-10 Fairbanks-Morse H10-44
PRR 8699 class FS-24 Fairbanks-Morse H-24-66 "Trainmaster"
Could also be culm or slag banks in PA

rixflix aka Captain Video. Blessed be Jean Shepherd and all His works!!! Hooray for 1939, the all time movie year!!! I took that ride on the Reading but my Baby caught the Katy and left me a mule to ride.
Dave both locomotives are Pennsylvania Railroad Fairbanks-Morse diesels. The switcher on the left is PRR #9082 an H10-44 built as F-M serial #10L152 in August 1949. The roadswitcher on the right is PRR #8699 an H24-66 Train Master built as F-M serial #24L897 in August 1956. The paint on the Train Master does not look that old so that may help date the photo to the later 1950s. The land in the back of the photo looks unused, no vegetation, this may be at a pit or mining operation. This is definitely not the PRR main line.
