I know that all of CSX's ex seaboard and Conrail/ EL units were retired except for 2 that were donated and a test load unit, some of the retired went to MRL and some were rebuilt and retired. NS still has all the Former Erie they got in the split in active service on Conrail Shared Assets. But what happened to all of BNSF's former Santa Fe units. i know a lot of them were scrapped and some were rebuilt into SD40-2R's, and some went to NRE. I know the MRL were scrapped. but what happened to some of the BNSF units that weren't Rebuilt or Scrapped? what happened to the CSX units that weren't sold to MRL or donated? And what happened to the NRE Units?
