Poop, see if you can find a copy of "Railpace" magazine's August issue.  There's a big article about the WNY&P and the "why's and wherefore's" of their operations.  Basically the trains run as needed, there's no set schedules or what power's going to be on the train.  It might be a help to you if and when you go back.

6002 looks great in what are basically Erie colors, which I haven't seen since I got a picture of an EL RS3 in similar colors in 1969.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

WNY&P RR Alcos before GEs!

OK, we never heard of WNY&P RR going down the line through Keating Summit on Fri. Aug 2nd! We traveled from Michigan just to get these "Big Alcos" before they are replaced by GEs!!!! We only got them operating in the yard on that trip! I hope to return this September to hopefully get those engines pulling trains! After developing my film I will upload WNY&P pix! It was nice just to see them of course! Here is a picture of AC4460CW #6002 that will be arriving soon (©Jonah Hemingway, 8-1-2019, Monett, MO):
