They have some fancy paint schemes on their engines.  There are a few notable leasing companies but I have seen quite a few HLCX engines through here on CSX.

HLCX is called Helm Leasing I've seen most of them on CSX trains, but I've also seen 1 or 2 on Norfolk Southern trains.

As the others stated above it is certainly Helm Leasing. WATCO's Stillwater Central runs a few of their geeps down through Lawton a few times a week, funny thing about it though is seeing a Kansas & Oklahoma logo on the sides of some of the geeps witht he HLCX paint scheme that come through :P

Thats a step that you see on cowl bodies that EMD made. F45's come to mind, they had a compartment door right above the fuel tank, so they added a step built into the tank itself. Not sure which one this is off though.

Many HLCX locos can be seen pulling UP trains through here. Generally they are SD40-2 models. Always they are clean and appear well-maintained, unlike the UP engines they associate with.

Are the Helm Leasing Locomotives even painted like that any more?

I hope they are. I almost photographed an SD40-2 in that scheme. I thought too long about it and missed the shot.

I don't think so. All the newly panted helm units I have seen have sold red or blue paint jobs.
