UP Heritage Units in pool power runs with other railroads

1995 has ran off UP rails a couple of times. It was on UP trains but detoured down the IC&E from Chicago to Clinton for a few runs while UP replaced ties on the Geneva Sub, plus 1982 and 1995 have been to Bensenville on the CP once each, both for Franklin Park Railroad Daze in May (1982 in 2006 and 1995 this year), so they have been off UP rails, but just for short distances. 1983 was used as a DPU on a coal train in Missouri once, but that is the only time one has been on a coal train.

None of the UP Heritage engines are AC's and since the UP uses AC's on its coal trains you won't see them on coal trains.

The Katy unit and the Mopac strayed away from home rails last fall when they went to the Monticello Railway Museum in Monticello last fall for their "Railroad Days'. They worked north from St Louis to Monticello on Norfolk Southern then returned a couple of days later. I heard the people of Monticello were surprised to see these big beasts show up!

Just got my October 2007 issue of Trains and saw the article on the UP Heritage units.  Nice shots of the units, including the fold out of the units lined up together.   I have a couple of questions:

 Have any of the Heritage units particpated in run-throughs with other railroads?  Or does UP like to keep them on their own railroads?

Have any of the units been seen on Powder River Basin and/or other UP coal trains?   Seems like UP likes to keep the units clean.

I would like to see any pictures of the Heritage units in run-through services or on coal trains.

So far as of August 31, 2007, the Heritage units have been used in UP service on UP tracks.

Some of them have been used for promotional services also like Operational Lifesaver here in California and other high visibility type service.   Everytime they are used for promotional service, they get washing and cleaned up so they do look fairly good all of the time.   We got to see four of them here last month within the same week in and out of California.  Only the C&NW and D&RWW units have not been past Salt Lake City.    The 4141 ( GH Bush unit )  is in California now.  It is not a Heritage unit but looks like Air Force one in the Blue scheme and is very attractive.

 As far as I know, they have been used on high priority trains, not coal service which would take them off line to the destination.
