Short term ratings of 3 to 10 minutes would lead to temperatures that need stops for cooling after its use. Amtrak has named the ACS-64 for its maximum (hourly) rating of 6,400 kW (8,600 hp), the same presumably as E-60 (6,000 hp) and AEM-7 (7,000 hp) Regards, Volker Regards, Volker
